Lead Patination Oil is a simple and effective solution for roofers working with lead roofing or flashings.
When left untreated, leadwork is susceptible to staining when rainwater reacts with the surface. This staining can spoil the appearance of roofs, and can also run off and stain surrounding brickwork, tiles or stone.
Applying Lead Patination Oil is quick and easy with a soft absorbent cloth , and is suitable for newly installed lead on residential or commercial roofs.

APPLICATION:
Patination oil should be applied to all newly installed leadwork on the day of installation. It is applied by wiping the leadwork with a lint-free cloth or rag. Apply evenly in a horizontal motion moving from top to bottom. Do not apply in a circular motion as patterns can become visible.
Expect typical coverage of approximately 40 m2 per litre of patination oil.
Lead to be treated must be clean and dry, and applied at a time where rain is not imminent.
