What does the Kitchen Filter & Tap actually filter out?

The system uses a 0.5 micron inline cartridge that reduces chlorine, sediment, fine particles, tastes and odours. It improves clarity and taste but is not designed for untreated rainwater, bore, or rural water supplies.

Can I install this Kitchen Filter & Tap myself?

Yes. The kit is designed to be DIY friendly, for anyone familiar with basic plumbing. It includes the tap, filter, PRV, shut-off valve, and all fittings. However, if your water pressure exceeds 500kPa or you’re unsure about compliance, or installation, we recommend getting a plumber to install the filtration kit.

How often does the Kitchen Filter cartridge need replacing?

Most households replace the cartridge every 12–18 months. The exact lifespan depends on your water quality and usage. It is recommended to check the filter every six months.

Does the Kitchen Filter & Tap reduce chlorine?

Yes. The 0.5 micron carbon filter is effective at reducing chlorine levels, improving both taste and smell

Is the tap lead-free and safe for drinking water?

Yes. The supplied stainless steel faucet is food-grade and designed for safe, long-term use with drinking water.

Can this filter system remove fluoride?

No. Fluoride removal requires specialised media not used in inline carbon filters. This product is designed to improve taste, clarity, and odour, not remove fluoride.
