0.5 Micron Filtration for Cleaner Taste.

The integrated quick-change 10” filter uses 0.5 micron polyspun carbon filtration to help reduce chlorine taste and odour, sediment, and fine particles commonly found in mains water. It also targets organic contaminants that can affect flavour.

The result is noticeably cleaner, fresher tasting water for both drinking and hot beverages, improving the overall quality of water throughout your kitchen.

Installation: What's Included.

The 2-in-1 Hot water tap includes the DUO stainless steel boiling and filtered tap, under sink boiler unit, 0.5 micron quick-change filter cartridge, pressure limiting valve (PRV), shut-off valve, and all required installation fittings and instructions.

The compact under sink design fits neatly beneath your sink and integrates with typical household plumbing setups. Once installed, it provides consistent near boiling water while maintaining reliable filtration performance for everyday use.

We recommend having the 2-in-1 hot water boiling tap installed by a professional.

Are boiling water taps expensive to run?

Around $6 a month at NZ residential power rates (30c/kWh), based on dispensing 10 cups per day. That's roughly the same as boiling a kettle filled to 1.5L, and only $1.40 more than a kettle filled to exactly the cup volume needed.

How much water does the 2.4L boiler tank dispense?

The 2.4L tank holds enough for around nine to ten 250ml cups in succession before needing to reheat. For most households that's more than enough — heavy use (back-to-back cooking, large gatherings) will pause briefly while the tank recovers, which takes a few minutes.

What does the 0.5 micron filter remove?

The polyspun carbon cartridge reduces chlorine taste and odour, sediment, fine particles, and organic contaminants that affect flavour and clarity. It's designed for town water supply. It won't treat tank, bore, or rural water, which need different filtration.

Does the tap dispense chilled water?

No. The DUO 2-in-1 tap dispenses near-boiling water and ambient (room temperature) filtered water. If you want chilled and filtered water, see our chilled and filtered water tap, which is a separate under-sink system.

Can I install this myself, or do I need a plumber?

We strongly recommend installation by a registered plumber. The system needs to be connected to mains water and a power socket, and where line pressure exceeds 500 kPa an approved pressure reducing valve must be installed to comply with New Zealand plumbing standards. The included PRV and shut-off valve cover most setups, but a plumber will make sure everything is compliant and properly sealed.

What size hole do I need in my bench for the tap?

The DUO tap requires a 35mm hole in your benchtop or sink.

How often does the filter need replacing?

Filter life depends on your feed water quality and how much water you use. As a guide, the FSPC10 0.5 micron polyspun carbon cartridge typically lasts 6–12 months in a household setting. You'll notice reduced flow rate or a return of chlorine taste when it's time for a replacement.

Can children use the boiling tap safely?

The DUO tap has a push-lever locking mechanism on the boiling side that requires a deliberate two-step action to dispense hot water, reducing the risk of accidental activation. As with any source of hot water in the kitchen, supervision is still recommended for young children.

What's covered by the warranty?

The boiler unit comes with a 24-month parts warranty for residential use. The filter cartridge carries a 12-month parts warranty. Both exclude installation, freight, and damage from frost, scale build-up from non-town water, or use of non-genuine replacement cartridges. Full terms are on our warranties page.
